Here’s why: Parkinson’s causes tremors because the brain doesn’t produce enough dopamine, which helps control smooth movements. Until the meds kick in, mornings can be… well, a bit wobbly. Because even when life wobbles, we keep moving forward. My Diagnosis Story It took me 3 years, countless hospital visits, and being dismissed for stress, tension, or diet before someone really listened.
In the end, it was my physiotherapist who noticed something others didn’t – and suggested a Parkinson’s checkup. The rest, as they say, is history. Sharing this to remind everyone: trust your instincts and keep advocating for yourself. #parkinsonhumor

A New Direction: My Journey, My Work, My Fight Hey everyone,
It’s time for a little update. For years, my passion has been filmmaking – telling stories, capturing moments, and creating visuals that inspire. But life had its own twist for me: three years ago, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. At first, I wasn’t sure how to navigate this new reality while pursuing my dream career. But here I am, still behind the camera, still telling stories – and now I think it’s time to share a little more of my own story with you. This account is taking a new direction. Alongside glimpses of my filmmaking work and behind-the-scenes moments, I’ll be sharing my journey with Parkinson’s: the challenges, the wins, the humor, and the lessons I’m learning along the way. 🎬 What to expect?

• Honest stories about life with Parkinson’s – the struggles and the small victories.
• A dash of dark humor, because laughter is one of the best tools I have.
• Creative experiments with AI-generated videos and images – a new way for me to explore and expand my creativity, despite the challenges.
Whether it’s a film, a photo, or an AI-generated project, I believe creativity has no limits.
My goal? To show that even when life shakes you up (literally, in my case), you can still chase your dreams. Let’s shake things up – pun fully intended. 🙃 The second pic is a look at a Dopamine Transporter (DaT) Scan – a tool used to diagnose Parkinson’s.
🧠 Image A: A healthy brain shows a smooth, “comma-shaped” tracer pattern in the striatum (caudate and putamen).
🧠 Image B: In Parkinson’s, the tracer is uneven, especially in the putamen (the back of the “comma”), while the caudate still shows lower-than-normal activity.
This scan helps doctors understand how dopamine levels are affected in the brain. Pretty fascinating, right? Ps:Dancing in the sunshine under cherry blossoms fits perfectly with the current weather in Münster (it’s snowing) ;)

The surreal, dystopian visuals, crafted with tools like MidJourney and Runway ML, blend seamlessly with the atmospheric soundscapes from Artlist.io, creating a world that feels both otherworldly and eerily familiar. Through off-screen narration and evocative imagery, Silent Wings speaks to the fragility of life and the power of silence. Being a cinematographer is not just my job; it’s my passion, my identity, my life. That’s why this diagnosis hit especially hard. Over time, my ability to operate a camera has diminished, but my love for storytelling hasn’t. This film is deeply personal. It’s about loss, resilience, and finding new ways to create despite challenges. Through AI, I’ve discovered a new medium to express my vision and continue doing what I love. “Loss” marks the beginning of this new chapter in my creative journey.
